RR Auction has set an incredibly high bar with its latest Fine
Autographs and Artifacts auctions. There are two events currently taking place
at the Boston based auction house, both of which feature unbelievable lots with
amazing items. Worldwide collectors are surely thrilled by these auctions,
especially since they include unique and very valuable items. Both of the Fine
Autographs and Artifacts auctions have started on May 19 and will conclude on
June 14, so there is still time for anyone passionate about rare items to go
online and check out RR Auction’s catalogue.
The first Fine Autographs and Artifacts auction features over 125 Animation
lots and it is an impressive collection of characters, signatures,
autographs and rare items. Among these rare items there is a Walt Disney autograph in fine
condition. It is a remarkable ink signature on a pink album page that carries
the signatures of famous aviators on the back. The signatures on the reverse of
the album page are in black ink and considered to be a rare combination. They
feature names such as James Mollison, Amy Mollison and even Beryl Markham. The
item was estimated at $1,200 but the good news is that collectors still have
plenty of time to place a bid on the item.
The other Fine Autographs and Artifacts Auction is focused on Science
and Technology items and it is an incredibly rare display of amazing documents,
signatures and rare autographs. The items spread on a wide timescale, from the
Isaac Newton era to the Apollo manned missions. In fact, one of the most
valuable items in this collection actually is a document signed by
Isaac Newton that he signed and sent as Master of the Royal Mint. The document
is a pay order issued to the Accountant General of the South Sea Company and it
reads: "Pray pay to Dr. Francis
Fauquier the four per cent Dividend due at Midsummer last upon sixteen thousand
two hundred & seventy two pounds four shillings & nine pence south sea
stock in my name & his Receipt shall be your sufficient discharge."
This incredibly rare item was estimated at $25,000 and is in fine condition.
Anyone interested in additional
details and extensive information regarding these items and any other
collectibles featured in the Fine Autographs and Artifacts auctions should
check out RR Auction’s webpage and social media, especially Facebook and
Twitter. Collectors should also keep in mind that both of the auctions end on
June 14.
